Govt. ITI Hoshiarpur

The institute is located on Hoshiarpur Jalandhar road near Prabhat Chowk adjacent to Govt. Polytechnic. It is about 40 Kilometers from Jalandhar city and lies on the Shivalik foot hills. Being a semi hill area it has the advantage of very favorable climate the whole year.

It is an old city which has relations with Ramayana as well as Mahabharata times. It is located in the heart of Doaba region of Punjab surrounded by Sutlej and Beas rivers of Punjab. People of this region are hard working and known for their skills world over almost every individuals of 3rd. family is NRI and these NRI’s have contributed in the development of foreign countries as well as India. This city has the honour that Dr.Manmohan Singh ,Prime Minister of India got education from Govt.college Hoshiarpur which further has the honour that in the beginning Punjab University Head quarter were housed in Govt. college Hoshiarpur. The city is surrounded by a cluster of world famous industries ,which are exporting their products to other countries such as International Tractors Ltd.,GNA Axles, Reliance industries,Hawkins cookers,Mahavir spinning Mills,JCT and many other supporting industries.Ivory and inlay industry is another field where Hoshiarpur has its name on Indian as well as world map.
